Adopt a dog & give them the second chance they deserve

adoption

Save a loving animal by making them part of your family

If you are looking for a dog to welcome into your home and become part of the family, why not consider adoption? Every year, approximately 6.5 million pets nationwide enter animal shelters, become abandoned, or are in need of help on the streets. You can welcome one into your family and begin a new life together. Being based in Thailand and with a history of personal adoption experiences, we have a soft spot for rescue dogs, be it from shelters or straight from the streets. From a training point of view, every dog is trainable, can learn, develop and grow, including street dogs.

In particular, older street dogs, who have had more time fending for themselves, are street-wise and intelligent beyond words. If you’re unsure and hesitant about adopting, Paws & Flaws offer a New Dog to Home training online course to guide along the way.  We also work with a number of shelters who follow our Shelter Training Program and are preparing their dogs for adoption. By adopting and, therefore, opening up a shelter space for another animal who might desperately need it, this can make a difference to not just your dog’s life but others, too.

How can you help?

Robyn, the founder of Paws & Flaws, set up a hands-on group of volunteers called Robyn Responds in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ao Nang, Krabi. Since then, they have been supporting rescues and strays who can’t fend for themselves.

Paws & Flaws and Robyn Responds (renamed Shelter to Strength @sheltertostrength) now support shelters and rescuers together, with training, rehoming and foster support. Currently supporting Pariah Dog Koh Samui Shelter.

There are some amazing souls waiting for their forever family. Who knows, they might be waiting for you!

These pooches can be transported anywhere in Thailand and even flown overseas, had all the necessary vet checks, are sterilised and fully vaccinated (unless too young). Simply, they are ready to begin their next chapter of a loving forever home.

Urgently need a home

Cleopatra

female | 6 years old | neutered | fully vaccinated | small size

Playful and loving, submissive, socialised with dogs & humans

Cleopatra was abandoned in a bucket along with her 5 brothers and sisters. Their eyes and ears were still closed and they had to hand feed every few hours until they were old enough to do it themselves. Out of the six, only two survived. Cleo and her brother Ramses could not be more different. She is a midget, short and chubby, while her brother is a giant. Cleo is active, she plays along with dogs all day long and is extremely happy when there is a human who can giver her attention, too.

She is a tough cookie, always healthy and happy. When she was a young pup, both Cleo and ramses got adopted, but then abandon again, at the same place. It was extremely sad to see her being a happy household dog, just to go back to a temple life. Despite her age, she is still really playful and loving, a perfect dog for either an active person or family with a small child.
